Combined 14-16U girls team wins back to back Three Rivers Cup

Congratulations to the combined 14-16U girls team. They win back to back Three Rivers Cup Tournaments for the 18-19 season.

The Wildcats U14-16 girls combined tournament team are champions once again going 4-0 to win their second straight Three Rivers Cup Trophy this season.

The girls went 3-0 in their first three games. They faced tough competition against the Virginia Reston Raiders in the first game of the series where they won with a 5-3 victory. The Wildcats controlled in the second game with 6-0 victory over the Detroit USA Eagles. Game three had the Wildcats facing an outstanding Baltimore Stars team with no score by either team until the third period when Naomi C. scored the game winning goal giving the girls a 1-0 win against the Stars sending them into the finals in first place.

The Wildcats once again faced the Raiders in the championship game on Sunday and were victorious with 2 goals from Renata P in their 2-1 win.

Naomi C. is named tournament MVP with hat tricks in games one and two with a total of 7 goals and 9 points in the tournament. Natalie D. and Catherine W. both scored a pair of goals. Goalie Maelee A. records shutouts in games two and three and sisters Ryan and Dylan R. join forces in their first tournament together to lead the team in most penalty minutes and assists.
